Vicente Beltrán Grimal. Academic of the Real de San Carlos de Valencia. Professor at the San Carlos School of Fine Arts in Valencia, where he became Director during the Spanish Civil War.
First gold medal of the National Sculpture Exhibition for his work “Aurora” in 1930. In 1933 he won the National Sculpture contest with his “Allegory of music”
He is arrested and sentenced to death after the civil war. He was finally released from prison in 1941, for having his case dismissed. In 1946 he was rehabilitated in his former position as Professor at the San Carlos School of Fine Arts. He won the first prize at the Biennial of Hispano-American Art in Valencia in 1951. He died in Valencia on May 23, 1963.
