Bust of Dolores Ibarruri, the Pasionaria, in bronze, made by the American sculptor Jo Davidson during his visit to Barcelona in 1938 invited by the Government of the Republic.  Bust, figure or sculpture in bronze.

Dolores Ibarruri, the Pasionaria, 1895-1980, was leader of the PCE Communist Party of Spain during the Second Republic, the Spanish Civil War and the Exile.

The sculptor, Jo Davidson, 1883-1952 was one of the most famous world portrait sculptors, he made the busts of Mahatma Gandhi, Marshal Foch, Albert Einstein, DH Lawrence, Marshal Tito, Rudyard Kipling, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Anatole France, André Gide, etc   He exhibited his works at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
