Guard in brass with pommel in the shape of Côtes du Melon. Handle lined with leather and copper twist.
Steel blade engraved in its first third with trophies, sun and laurels, remains of decoration in gold. With the Solingen S marking on the back of the blade. Total length 91 cm and 76 cm blade. These sabers were used by junior officers on dismounted duty, in the style of the grenadiers. They preferred to carry, by tradition, the saber at the belt. Used by both the Infanterie de Ligne and the Infanterie Légère.
