Description

Germany, Württemberg. Infantry enlisted pickelhaube with the front plate of the Württemberg Coat of Arms and its motto “Furschtlos und Trew”.

The shape of the metal top is characteristic of Infantry units and, together with the chinstrap, the liner and the side cockade, we know that it is the Enlisted model.

It is marked “J.R.” in reference to Infanterie Regiment (in pickelhaube, the “J” is also used as the “I” to refer to Infantry Regiment) and “III. B” of III Bataillon (3rd Battalion). “1902” is the year of manufacture.

German spiked helmet from World War I and earlier.
