United Kingdom. Socket bayonet known as “India Pattern” as it was produced by the East India Company between 1796 and 1812 for the British Brown Bess. Manufactured by Salter who produced during the Napoleonic Wars and the years immediately following. It has the “BO” marking for “Board of Ordnance” and the inspection marking with the crown with “31”. Total length: 553mm. Blade length: 452 mm. Inner diameter: 23.5mm
