Germany, Third Reich. Police Cap Badge. Troop Insignia. 2nd Model. Zinc.
The «Polizei Schirmmützenadler für Mannschaften 2. Modell» is a cap insignia worn as part of the uniform by Police units during the Third Reich. This particular model is the second version of the troop insignia, made of zinc. The design of the eagle on these insignias was a symbol of the power of the police and the Nazi state. The insignia was placed on the top of the police cap and served as a distinctive element to identify members of the security forces.
