Germany III Reich. Order of the German Eagle 2nd Class (Deutscher Adlerorden Verdienstkreuz 2. Stufe) with original case.
The back needle is marked «900» in reference to the quality of the silver and «21» by the maker Gebruder Godet & Co. of Berlin.
The Order of Merit of the German Eagle was a diplomatic and honorary award given to distinguished foreigners, particularly diplomats.
The decoration is in very good condition, retaining almost all of the gold plating and without any damage to the enamels. The type of crested eagle is characteristic of the maker Gebruder Godet. The size of the Cross is 50 mm.
The case retains almost all of its red with the entire central eagle, although with some worn spots.
