Germany, Third Reich. German Heer Officer’s sword, manufactured by Alcoso of Solingen.
The hilt is made of gilded brass with the Heer (Wehrmacht) emblem, the military eagle, on the guard. The scabbard is black-painted metal, and the blade is smooth. It bears the Alcoso of Solingen manufacturer’s mark with the scale on the blade, below the guard.
Total length 89 cm, blade length 75 cm.
