Germany, Third Reich. WW2 German M1884/98 III bayonet for the Mauser Kar 98k, matching serial numbers.
This example is the M1884/98 Third Model bayonet, fully blued to avoid reflections. The handle is made of Bakelite and the serial number “3445” matches on both the guard and the scabbard. The scabbard is marked “41 ddl,” referring to the year of manufacture (1941) and the manufacturer Remscheider Hobelmesserfabrik, Josua Corts & Son, Remscheid. The blade is marked “42 cof,” indicating the year 1942 and the manufacturer Carl Eickhorn. The retention button works perfectly.
Original German bayonet from the Second World War.
