Argentina. Lapel pin of the National University of Cuyo, Mendoza. San Luis, San Juan.
The National University of Cuyo (UNCUYO) is the largest higher education institution in the Province of Mendoza, Argentina. It was founded in 1939 in response to the needs of Mendoza, as well as the provinces of San Juan and San Luis, which form the Cuyo region. This regional link remained until 1973, when each province established its own university, the National University of San Juan and the National University of San Luis, respectively. The National University of Cuyo was then left exclusively for Mendoza and the Balseiro Institute.
