Used on the Mannlicher Berthier M1890 Cavalry Carbine, and the M1892 and M1916 Rifles. No manufacturer markings on the back edge. Overall length 52.50 cm, Blade length 39.50 cm.
The version with the shortened quillon was a modification aimed at improving efficiency and reducing production costs. Furthermore, the fact that this bayonet already featured wooden grips is a characteristic that distinguishes it from earlier versions, which typically used metal grips. The absence of manufacturer markings on the back edge is also an indication that these bayonets were produced in large quantities and with evident urgency due to the pressure of the war.
