Sheikh Mansur (also known as Mansur al-Chechen or Mansur the Chechen) was a key historical figure in the history of the Chechen people and in the resistance of the Caucasus region against the Russian Empire in the 18th century. He was born in 1755 and died in 1794, and is primarily remembered as a religious leader, warrior, and commander of the Chechen resistance against the expansion of the Russian Empire in the Caucasus
