This book contains more than 100 designs of Maoist artworks from the Cultural Revolution as a reference guide for painting in large size. Published in 1972 during the Cultural Revolution.
In 1978 with Deng Xiaoping in power, many artworks from the Mao Zedong period were destroyed to end the Cultural Revolution period. It is difficult to find original works from that period that are not later reissues.
