North Korea or Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Commemorative Order for the 40th Anniversary of Fatherland Liberation War Victory
The Commemorative Order “40th Anniversary of Fatherland Liberation War Victory” (조국해방전쟁승리40돐기념훈장) was instituted in North Korea on March 10, 1993, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the end of the Korean War of 1950–1953 (known in North Korea as the “Fatherland Liberation War”). This single-class decoration was awarded primarily to veterans and high-ranking officers who participated in the conflict, highlighting their commitment and contribution to the war.
On the obverse, a North Korean soldier waving the flag of North Korea. On the reverse, the name of the decoration «조국해방전쟁승리40돐기념훈장».
