Cuba. “28 de Septiembre” Medal of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution
Cuban distinction awarded by the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution ( CDR ), an organization established on 28 September 1960. The “28 de Septiembre” Distinction was awarded to Cuban citizens, particularly CDR leaders and members, in recognition of an outstanding and sustained record in carrying out the organization’s activities and contributing to its development and strengthening. The distinction forms part of the CDR’s own system of honors, with its name referring to the organization’s founding date.
