The Merit Medal of the Capital City of Prague, also known as «Prague, Mother of Cities,» is an award given by the City of Prague to individuals for their extraordinary contribution to the city. This medal, formerly called «Medal for Merit in the Development of the Capital City of Prague,» is presented during a ceremony in which the Mayor of the City presents the award to the selected individuals.
The medal is awarded to honor and recognize the merits of individuals who have significantly contributed to the development and good name of Prague.
