Czechoslovakia. Medal of Merit for Anti-Fascist Fighters 1939-1945, gold version.
The Medal of Merit for Antifascist Fighters was an award granted by the Czechoslovak Union of Antifascist Fighters.
It was awarded to members of the Czechoslovak resistance, both domestic and abroad, in recognition of their active participation in the liberation of Czechoslovakia and their personal contribution to the fight against fascism during World War II.
The obverse of the medal features an image of a submachine gun held by a hand cutting through barbed wire—a symbol of fascist oppression. The reverse bears the name of the Czechoslovak Union of Antifascist Fighters, along with a star and a linden branch, symbolizing freedom.
