Denmark. Spine label plate from the Bibliotheca Regia Hafniensis.
The Bibliotheca Regia Hafniensis is the Latin name for the Royal Library of Copenhagen (in Danish: Det Kongelige Bibliotek), located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
It is the national library of Denmark and also serves as the university library for the University of Copenhagen. It is one of the largest and oldest libraries in the Nordic countries. It was founded in 1648 by King Frederick III, and for centuries it has served as Denmark’s legal deposit library, meaning it receives a copy of everything published in the country.
