Spain. Commander’s Cross of the Order of Saint Hermenegildo. Reign of King Juan Carlos I.
Awarded upon promotion to the rank of Knight or Dame Cross, after five years of service in said rank, including any applicable bonuses and deductions.
The distinction will consist of a cross with characteristics similar to the one previously described, bearing the Order’s coat of arms with a seven-millimeter radius and a white enameled border, incorporating the same inscription as the Cross. The design will be surrounded by two green laurel branches, bearing red fruit, joined at their trunks and tied at the bottom with a red ribbon.
The insignia will be worn suspended from the neck by a thirty-millimeter-wide ribbon of suitable length to rest above the tie knot, with colors identical to those established for the ribbon of the Cross.
