Spain. Nationalist Air Force Lapel Badge, 1938–1946
Lapel badge of the Nationalist Air Force (Aviación Nacional), also referred to as the National Air Force or National Air Army, the name given to the air arm of the Nationalist forces during the Spanish Civil War.
The badge features the Imperial Eagle surmounted by the Caudillo’s military crown, a design introduced during the Civil War and retained after the creation of the Spanish Air Force (Ejército del Aire) in 1939.
With the introduction of the 1946 Air Force Uniform Regulations, this emblem was replaced by a new design. Consequently, badges of this type date to the 1938–1946 period.
