Spain. Badge of the Campaign Signals Group of the Republican Popular Army, 1937-1939
Blue and red painted breast insignia belonging to the Campaign Signals Group (Grupo de Transmisiones de Campaña, GTC) of the Republican Popular Army. The unit was established in Albacete in 1937 and was responsible for organizing and providing signals and communications services for units of the Republican Army. The insignia represents the unit’s emblem and is associated with the Signals branch. The piece retains one of its rear attachment prongs.
