Spain. Medal for the Republican Democrats against the Monarchy, 1868–1869
Coin or medal from the period of the Glorious Revolution, also known as La Gloriosa, the September Revolution or La Septembrina, a military uprising with civilian participation that took place in Spain in September 1868. It resulted in the overthrow and exile of Queen Isabella II of Spain and marked the beginning of the Provisional Government and the period known as the Democratic Sexennium (1868–1874).
