United States. US M4 Bayonet, Second Production, 1960s
American M4 bayonet, corresponding to the second post-war production, intended for the M1 carbine. This model, introduced during the Second World War, continued to be manufactured after the conflict and was used during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Second-production versions featured a moulded plastic grip instead of the earlier stacked leather washers.
The crossguard retains the marking “M4” on its underside.
