The Zhukov Medal (in Russian: медаль Жукова) is a commemorative medal of the Russian Federation established by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 930 of May 9, 1994. It was initially awarded to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, but is now awarded to active members of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for acts of outstanding bravery. It is named after Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov, the most decorated military officer in the history of the Soviet Union.
