French Resistance Medal (Médaille de la Résistance) created by General Charles de Gaulle in 1943 «to recognize the remarkable acts of faith and of courage that, in France, in the empire and abroad, have contributed to the resistance of the French people against the enemy and against its accomplices since 18 June 1940»
On the obverse it has the Cross of Lorraine and the date of the beginning of the German occupation in Roman numerals: XVIII.VI.MCMXL (June 18, 1940). On the reverse the inscription «Patria non immemor» (THE NATION DOES NOT FORGET).
It is the Officer model with rosette on the ribbon.
