This is the second model used during the Second World War. It contains entries from 1938, 1940, and 1945.
The Wehrpass was a personal military document used by the German army (Wehrmacht) during the Third Reich, especially in the Second World War. It was issued to German men upon recruitment and recorded their military career in detail, including personal data, training, units served, promotions, decorations, wounds, and campaigns they participated in. It was kept until the individual became a soldier, at which point he received the Soldbuch for use during active service. After completing service and returning to civilian life, the Wehrpass was returned to the former soldier, who had to keep it until the age of 60. In the event of death, it was sent to the family as a keepsake from the unit in which he served.
