Germany III Reich. Overseas cap of the HJ Hitlerjugend Model 1940.
HJ Hitlerjugend Sommermütze. Barracks cap made of light brown cotton, with an almost illegible label inside and the owner’s name embroidered in red thread.
The cap features the characteristic red piping, lacks a sweatband (it never had one originally). Size 55.
The front insignia is made of fabric, with a webo-type embroidery. Fabric insignias were used starting in 1940.
