Germany III Reich. RAD Reichs Arbeits Dienst Quotation Book. Dornbin 1942. Tirol Vorarlberg. With quotation stamps.
The Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) was a Nazi paramilitary organization created in 1931, aimed at mobilizing German youth to work on infrastructure projects, such as roads and canals. From 1935, it became mandatory for all men between 18 and 25 years old, with a duration of 6 to 12 months.
In addition to infrastructure projects, the RAD also had a political and social component. It sought to educate young people in discipline, loyalty to the regime, and the vision of Nazi society. It was closely linked with the policies of the Nazi Party, especially with the promotion of the self-sufficiency of the Third Reich.
