Germany. Iron Cross. 1st Class, 1939, Denazified 1957 version.
The Iron Cross 1957 model was created on July 26, 1957 (in German Eisernes Kreuz, erste Klasse 1957). It is a post–World War II version, made to allow German veterans to wear their decorations without displaying prohibited symbols (such as the swastika).
Version without swastika, featuring oak leaves at the center. Authorized for veterans after 1945. Based on the 1939 design, with a silver frame and black core.
