Germany. Third Reich. Heer Dress Bayonet with Engraved Blade
The Heer dress or parade bayonet (Heer, the German Army) was worn as part of the uniform and for ceremonial purposes, commonly by Wehrmacht non-commissioned officers. This example features an engraved blade bearing the marking “Original Eickhorn Solingen”, accompanied by the characteristic squirrel trademark of the German manufacturer Eickhorn.
The engraving includes the inscription “Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit” (“In memory of my time in service”) and two Heer eagles.
German dress bayonet with engraved blade, attributed to the Third Reich period and original to the Second World War.
