The Hitler Youth Sports Badge was established on June 1, 1934, by the Reich Youth Leader, Baldur von Schirach. Its purpose was to strengthen the militant attitude of the Hitler Youth and their willingness to fulfill their duties. All members and leaders of the Hitler Youth were expected to strive to obtain this badge.
