Germany, Third Reich / Italy. Italian-German Campaign Medal in Africa
The Italian-German Campaign Medal in Africa (Italienisch-deutsche Feldzugsmedaille für Afrika) was a decoration created in 1942 by the Italian government to reward German troops and members of Erwin Rommel’s Afrika Korps, as well as Italian units, for their participation in the North African campaign.
This example is made of zinc, has the designer’s mark «De Marchis» on the lower part and the manufacturer’s mark «Lorioli Milano» on the left.
