Breast insignia, known in German as a Brustadler, belonging to the Nationalsozialistischer Reichskriegerbund (NS-RKB), an organisation for war veterans and former servicemen in National Socialist Germany.
The eagle, with outstretched wings, holds a black enamelled Iron Cross, a traditional German military symbol closely associated with veterans’ organisations. Below is a circular oak-leaf wreath surrounding a swastika on a ribbed background.
Made of metal, commonly die-cast aluminium, and intended to be attached to the breast of the organisation member’s uniform jacket.
