Germany. Third Reich. Ribbon Bar of a First World War Veteran and NSDAP Member
This ribbon bar brings together military decorations, commemorative awards and service distinctions from the Third Reich period. The combination of the 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class and the Honour Cross for Frontline Combatants of 1914–1918 reflects the owner’s connection with the First World War, while the later awards relate to campaigns, territorial annexations, and military, labour and political service under the National Socialist regime.
The ribbon bar includes the ribbons of the following decorations:
The two NSDAP long-service awards associate the group with a record of service within the party. The Eastern Front medal commemorates participation in the 1941–1942 campaign, while the Anschluss and Memel medals relate to Germany’s territorial annexations of 1938 and 1939.
German military and political ribbon bar attributed to a First World War veteran and NSDAP member, original to the Third Reich period.
