This Glengarry features a diced band in black, red, and white running around the entire cap. The top toorie is red.
It bears the marking RWD and a Quartermaster date. The letter R corresponds to the year 1939, and the letters WD stand for War Department. The number 16 refers to the Inspection Officer’s mark.
The other marking, JL Currie, refers to the manufacturer’s mark. On the lower part, a date can be observed, which should be 1939, corresponding to the letter R for the year 1939.
