Original cloth insignia used by members of the Hitlerjugend (HJ) and its female branch, the Bund Deutscher Mädel (BDM), sewn onto sports shirts during the Third Reich period. The design consists of a red diamond with a white background and a black swastika embroidered in the center, the official emblem of these National Socialist youth organizations.
Diamond dimensions: 93 x 53 mm
Type of embroidery: Bewo, characteristic of textile production from the period.
Marking: «Ges. Gesch.» (Gesetzlich Geschützt), indicating that the design was legally protected in Nazi Germany.
These types of embroidered insignia were used during physical and sports activities and were sewn directly onto standard white shirts.
