Iran. Patch of the Golden Crown Aerobatic Team of the Imperial Iranian Air Force. Era of Shah Reza Pahlavi.
The Golden Crown (Persian: تاج طلایی Tāj-e Talāyi) was the first national aerobatic display team of Iran and was part of the former Imperial Iranian Air Force (IIAF) from 1958 to 1979. It was founded by fighter pilot Nader Jahanbani, primarily inspired by the Skyblazers of the United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFE), a U.S. aerobatic team. During the Cold War, the team participated in numerous competitions.
