Italy. Italian M33 Camouflage Helmet of the Raggruppamento Anti Partigiani (RAP) unit or Anti Partisan Group of the Italian Social Republic (RSI).
Raggruppamento Anti Partigiani (RAP) was an anti-partisan military unit of the National Republican Army active at the end of World War II, between 1944 and 1945.
The helmet retains much of the original camouflage paint and almost all of the front insignia, with the characteristic bomb crossed by two swords and the letters RAP in the center.
The liner is the original M933 model with the marking «AT12» with a crown in reference to the Turin Arsenal and the monarchy.
The chinstrap is also the original M933 in grey-green color.
As it is a very rare piece and with little information on the internet, a photograph is attached from the reference book Elmetti by Paolo Marzetti where an example with the same front decal appears.
Original Italian helmet from World War II WW2.
