Italy. Medal of Merit for Volunteers of the Italo-Austrian War, 1915-1918
The Medal of Merit for Volunteers of the Italo-Austrian War (Medaglia di benemerenza per i volontari della guerra italo-austriaca 1915-1918) was instituted in 1923 by the Kingdom of Italy to recognise those who had volunteered for military service during the First World War in the conflict against Austria-Hungary.
The decoration recognises the service of Italian volunteers during the 1915-1918 war and commemorates their voluntary participation in the conflict.
