Italy. National Combatants Association Medal for the 20th Anniversary of Victory, 1918–1938
Commemorative medal issued by the National Combatants Association for the gathering held in Rome on 4 November 1938 to mark the twentieth anniversary of Italy’s victory in the First World War.
The event brought together Italian veterans to commemorate the victory of 1918 and honor those who had served during the conflict. The celebration took place during the period of the Kingdom of Italy, when patriotic commemorations of the Great War formed an important part of public life.
This example retains the original medal, although the ribbon is a replacement.
