Socialist Yugoslavia. Commemorative Medal of the Partisans of 1941, Numbered #21998
With silver hallmarks and screwback from the manufacturer «IKOM – Zagreb».
The Commemorative Medal of the Partisans of 1941, instituted in September 1944, was a military decoration of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. It was awarded to those who joined the Partisan movement in the early months of resistance against fascist occupation during the Second World War.
This medal recognized the bravery, commitment, and sacrifice of those who actively fought from 1941—the year the uprising led by Josip Broz Tito began. Considered a symbol of honor and prestige, the medal embodied the ideals of freedom, anti-fascism, and national unity that gave rise to the socialist Yugoslav state.
These awards were issued until 1963.
