Japan. Student High School Cap or Hakmo, Showa Period
The student uniform based on the Hakmo or cap was introduced in Japanese schools during the late 1920s. Just as the Gakuran was a school uniform derived from military uniform, this student cap was inspired by the cap worn by Army officers.
