Japan. Japanese naval dagger or dirk of an Imperial Japanese Navy Officer (大日本帝國海軍 Dai-Nippon Teikoku Kaigun).
The metal parts are made of brass and are decorated with floral motifs characteristic of Japan. The scabbard is made of wood and covered with leather. The blade has the typical curved shape of the Japanese Tanto or Katana.
The guard has the marking of the manufacturer Nakano Shoten, a company located in Tokyo and specialized in the Koshirae of edged weapons.
