It possibly depicts a Triumph Speed Twin motorcycle bearing the number 1938 on its front registration plate. Both this miniature lapel badge and the breast versions were worn by Republican motorcyclists and motorcycle dispatch riders of the Popular Army of the Republic during the Spanish Civil War.
