M1894 knife bayonet made for the Norwegian Krag rifle under German occupation during World War II and later modified for use with the Selvladekarabin (SLK) [U.S. M1 Carbine].
Approximately 34,400 M1894 bayonets were manufactured under the German occupation during 1943-1944.
Military Assistance Program (MAP) records document that the US provided 98,267 M1 and M2 carbines to Norway between 1950 and 1963. A total of 30,000 M1894 bayonets were modified in 1956 at the Hærens Våpentekniske Korps (weapons technical corps of the army). Norwegian bayonet
