Poland. Polish Bayonet for the Kalashnikov AK-47 Rifle, 1958
Polish bayonet for the pistolet maszynowy Kałasznikowa (pmK), the Polish variant of the 7.62 mm Kalashnikov AK-47 assault rifle, adopted by the Polish Armed Forces from 1957 onwards. It is a copy of the Soviet 6X2 pattern, manufactured at the Fabryka Broni in Radom, identified by the marking “11” inside a circle. The crossguard retains the manufacturing date “1958”, while the hilt bears the serial number “Z1593” and the letters “PW3”, referring to Przedstawicielstwo Wojskowe, the military representative office responsible for acceptance inspection.
The bayonet retains its leather belt hanger.
