Socialist Yugoslavia. 40 Years of the Yugoslav People’s Army Medal, 1941–1981
The «40 Years of the Yugoslav People’s Army» Medal was a commemorative award issued in 1981 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Yugoslav People’s Liberation Army, established in 1941 during the fight against fascist occupation. This medal was awarded to both active and retired army members, as well as to civilians and organizations that had contributed to the development and strengthening of the Yugoslav armed forces.
The obverse features the effigy of Marshal Tito.
