Socialist Yugoslavia. Medal for Bravery
The Yugoslav Medal for Bravery, instituted on August 15, 1943, was a military decoration created to honor individual acts of bravery and heroism, both in wartime and in situations of extreme danger during peace. Awarded to soldiers, officers, and occasionally civilians, this medal recognized exceptional courage shown in risking one’s life for the defense of the country, the protection of others, or the fulfillment of duty.
Yugoslav medal issued before 1992.
