Socialist Yugoslavia. Medal of National Merit, 1st Model
The Medal of National Merit of Yugoslavia, established in 1945, was a civil decoration awarded in recognition of outstanding services rendered to the Yugoslav state and society. It was granted to citizens, institutions, and in some cases to foreigners, in acknowledgement of significant contributions in fields such as public administration, education, culture, science, or the strengthening of international relations.
This is the first model, issued prior to 1972.
