Soviet Union USSR. Medal Bar of a Soldier Who Fought in Warsaw and Berlin
This group consists of the following decorations:
The Medal for the Liberation of Warsaw was awarded to Soviet personnel who took part in the offensive that liberated the Polish capital in January 1945. The Medal for the Capture of Berlin recognized those who participated in the final assault on the capital of the Third Reich in April and May 1945, one of the last major campaigns of the Second World War in Europe.
The combination of these decorations indicates that the recipient took part in the advance of the Red Army through Poland and into Germany during the final stages of the war. The 30th and 50th Anniversary Armed Forces Medals were later awarded in recognition of continued service and veteran status.
Original Soviet medals from the Second World War.
